Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Base Pay $37.00 - $38.00 / Hour Job Category Nursing Employee Type Part Time Required Degree High school Urban Recovery is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) as we grow and expand. Urban Recovery is a cutting edge substance‑use‑disorder (SUD) treatment center that offers inpatient detox, withdrawal, and stabilization services, as well as inpatient rehabilitation services for individuals with substance use disorder. We are located in Red Hook, Brooklyn NY, and are an OASAS‑licensed and CARF‑certified Center of Excellence. In this role, you’ll work with other dedicated professionals while advancing your clinical expertise. Schedule: 7:00pm - 7:30am Responsibilities Administer all medications according to the standards of Safe Nursing Practice, in a timely manner and according to the physicians’ orders. Educate patients regarding their medications and document patient’s response, comprehension and compliance in the medical record; if abnormality is found, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor. Document in the medical record all patient activity such as admissions, discharges, passes, transfers, and visits to the Emergency Room, or visits to Pan American Medical Center; if abnormality is found, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor. Document in the medical record the progress of the patient’s detoxification process, including behavioral response; if abnormality is found, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor. Document all treatment interventions and patient’s response to same in the medical records; if abnormality is found, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor. Communicate with all members of the treatment team regarding the progress of patient’s treatment; if abnormality is found, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor. Responsible for withdrawal assessments and/or vital signs for patients as indicated by their treatment plan. Responsible for the collection of data related to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs such as Census, Kardex, Risk Management, Incident Reports, Infection Control Reports, and Medication Event Report Forms; if abnormality is found, notify registered nurse and/or medical doctor. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration. Current BLS/CPR. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in nursing. Experience with addiction treatment preferred. Skills Computer skills are required. Interpersonal skills. Strong communications skills. Critical thinking. Detailed orientated. Time management.
