Senior Cloud Data ArchitectRandstad is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Data Architect for a client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of professional experience, specializing in AWS MSK/Apache Kafka/Confluent Kafka development. The role involves strategizing and implementing large-scale data solutions across various cloud platforms, managing data integration, and ensuring seamless data migration and consistency. The candidate will also translate functional requirements into technical specifications, implement observability solutions, and collaborate closely with stakeholders and engineers.ResponsibilitiesStrategize and Implement: Design and execute data warehouses and application pipelines for cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery).Proof of Concepts (POCs): Develop and deliver POCs to standardize data movement and consumption patterns.Data Integration Solutions: Strategize and implement large-scale data integration solutions.Technical Specifications: Translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications for ETL development.Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage collaboration across programs for smooth implementation of data solutions.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data migration issues, ensuring data consistency and meeting business requirements.Data Analysis: Analyze legacy data, data quality rules, business rules, and data dictionaries.ITSM Practices: Apply ITSM practices including service delivery, incident management, change management, and problem resolution.Observability Solutions: Implement application performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, log analytics, and event management using AIOps and MLOps.Big Data Technologies: Utilize various Big Data technologies for data streaming, programming, SQL/NoSQL, and visualization tools.System Design and Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable systems to handle high volumes of data.Efficient Solutions: Develop and implement efficient solutions using Confluent Kafka, Java, and Spring Boot.Integration: Collaborate with other engineers to integrate data pipelines with existing systems to meet business needs.Required QualificationsExperience: 15+ years of professional experience as an AWS MSK/Apache Kafka/Confluent Kafka developer with a deep understanding of Kafka development.Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Kafka internals, Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.AWS Expertise: Direct experience or working knowledge of AWS technologies including ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Terraform, and Kafka.Authorization and Authentication: Sound knowledge of authorization and authentication approaches like OAuth, SSO/SAML.Build Tools: Experience with build tools like Maven, Gradle, and unit test tools like JUnit and Mockito.Service Orchestration: Foundational experience with service orchestration and messaging technology, including Kafka governance.Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies.
