Job Overview Temporary position (9 months or less) – hourly pay $19.00–$20.00. Starts 27 April 2026, ends 31 October 2026. Position Watercraft Inspector & Decontaminator – Lead and General applicants. Please specify preferred level in supplemental questions. Responsibilities Inspect boats launching from Lake San Cristobal, ensuring compliance with state regulations and protocols. Decontaminate vessels to prevent spread of invasive species such as zebra and quagga mussels. Provide public outreach on aquatic invasive species, distributing printed materials to lake visitors. Work independently or in pairs; early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required. Lead Inspectors will train staff, schedule shifts, maintain records, manage inventory, assist in hiring, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure accurate data entry. Qualifications Reliable transportation; ability to work weekends, holidays, early morning and late evening hours. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self‑motivated; capable of working independently. Preferred: Experience with boats, trailers, power washers, small engines, or heavy equipment; excellent customer service skills.
