Integration Software Engineer

The Need Our client is looking for a qualified full‑time Integration Software Engineer to help facilitate both the ongoing support of existing systems as well as system upgrades and integration for new systems. This support is needed starting immediately and does not have a planned end date. The position will be reassessed on a regular basis. Location Greenville, SC (Onsite) Contract LTC – Initial 1‑Year term with right to extend. CTH is not currently in scope for this position. Work Status Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizen preferred or permanent resident Green Card) Work Schedule Normal work hours: 40 hrs/week, Monday–Friday. Occasional shifts may be made to provide coverage for project installations and start‑ups requiring weekend or holiday coverage. Overtime work may be approved as needed but will not be typical. Work schedules will vary based on project needs and assignments. Up to 30% domestic and some international travel over a 12‑month period 60% are 1‑week trips 20–30% are 2‑week trips 10% are 3‑week trips (try not to do many trips this long) Occasional emergency travel (corporate jet) once per year, if at all. Vast majority of travel given a 3–8 month notice. Work around PTO/vacations Internal/External Customer Internal users at 26 production manufacturing sites in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Group Size The Integration team consists of 11 people and includes: 1 Manager, 1 Team Lead, 1 Architect, 6 Developers, 1 Site Reliability Engineer. Technical Environment Currently these systems are predominantly Windows Servers running .NET Framework applications in C# with UI (user interfaces) in either legacy ASP.Net or WPF with back‑end Oracle Database. These systems are deployed on VMware ESXi clusters on premise in datacenters at our facilities. The model is moving towards a microservice architecture using containers on Kubernetes (K8) using .NET Core with UI in Blazor and database in PostgreSQL on VMware Tanzu. Day‑to‑day Job Responsibilities Development or modification of manufacturing middleware Support related to software and interfacing with key users using Service Now Daily team standups using Agile and use of Gitlab for software management Collaboration with key individuals and team lead Documentation of processes, installation, and release notes Work with SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) on observability of middleware/software Must Have Requirements Education: Computer science background (Computer Science degree or equivalent experience required) with 2–4+ years of experience in a production manufacturing setting. Computer skills Languages: C# (.NET)/Blazor and Java Data: PostgreSQL and Oracle (must understand relational databases) Infrastructure: Command of Windows/Linux, Kubernetes, and CI/CD Pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD) Methodology: Operates natively within Agile/Scrum Principles. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Hiring Group
