It leads important budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and supervision responsibilities that strengthen fiscal operations. As a Fiscal Management Specialist 3, you will perform the following duties:Budget Preparation: Prepare state budget documents, rebudget materials, spending plans, and projectionsFinancial Reporting: Review expenditures, create weekly reports, track funds, and complete fiscal adjustmentsStaff Supervision: Guide and support two Fiscal Management Specialist 2 employees through daily tasks and responsibilitiesAudit Response: Research financial issues, prepare corrective action updates, and respond to audit requestsDocument Review: Approve invoices, salary adjustments, travel codes, and fiscal correspondenceProject Development: Create and manage Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs), Notification of Subgrants (NOS), and related amendmentsInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. You will be required to report in-office 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) and for special events. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orTwo years of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
