Warehouse Associate / Material Handler

LAMATEK is seeking material handlers and warehouse associates. As a material handler, you will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, maintaining stock in the warehouse, and moving materials to fulfill orders. Benefits / Pay: Starting at $19 per hour Medical and dental options Life insurance Paid vacation NJ sick leave Retirement options Profit sharing 1 st Shift: Monday to Friday 6am to 2:30pm 2 nd Shift: Monday to Thursday 2:15pm to 12:30am Move freight and stock between loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage, and production areas (manually or with equipment such as forklifts). Follow written or verbal instructions for daily tasks. Stage products and assist with fulfilling customer orders. Sort cargo and label containers appropriately. Stack cargo on pallets or in designated areas. Document units handled daily using production sheets. Assist with inventory and maintain an organized warehouse. Supplemental Functions and Responsibilities: Operate forklift and pallet jack. Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed. Responsibilities: Maintain warehouse stock, stage products based on orders, and assist in organizing inventory. Know the formal and informal goals, standards, policies and procedures, which may include some familiarity of other departments within the company. Be sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the department. Work independently with minimal supervision. Communication Expectations: Exchange routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate, requiring good oral and written skills. Education, Training and Experience: QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Have good knowledge of mechanical devices. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
