Job Summary
The Superintendent owns the planning and supervision of one or more electrical installation projects from kickoff through closeout. This role is accountable for safe installation, schedule, budget, and quality on assigned projects, supervises all field personnel including trade contractors and in-house electricians, and serves as the primary field communication point for the project team.

Project Execution and Technical Oversight
- Accountable for safe installation across all assigned projects; ensure scope, budget, and schedule are met.
- Review all project drawings; coordinate RFIs and design changes with the project team.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are scheduled and available to meet project timelines.
- Confirm utility locating is complete before any excavation begins on assigned projects.
- Schedule and participate in all local and state inspections; oversee final inspection for completed work.
- Manage emergency response protocols for all assigned projects; ensure team readiness.
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce strict safety standards; coordinate all OSHA requirements on assigned projects and drive zero-incident job sites.
- Review all work for National Electrical Code (NEC) compliance; coordinate with inspectors for code approvals.
- Coordinate directly with client operations personnel to ensure full compliance with site safety, security, and access requirements.
Project Planning and Scheduling
- Lay out full project scope; generate pre-construction material lists, tool orders, and lookaheads for Foremen.
- Prepare and maintain weekly schedules for in-house and temporary labor for Operations Manager review.
- Maintain staffing reports; proactively assign Foremen to upcoming projects.
- Attend weekly operations meetings and project kickoff and closeout meetings; align on project needs.
Site and Field Operations
- Accountable for full on-site supervision of assigned projects, trade contractors, and field personnel.
- Document punch list items; manage closeout activities with the on-site Foreman.
- Manage commissioning activities on-site to ensure safe, successful completion and system turnover.
- Attend client walkthroughs and site surveys; provide field input to support estimating teams.
Communication and Documentation
- Serve as the primary field communication point; communicate design changes, RFIs, and material submittals to project teams in a timely manner.
- Prepare detailed daily log reports covering site conditions, manpower, activities, and issues.
Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise all field personnel on assigned projects, including trade contractors and in-house electricians.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members; communicate job expectations clearly.
- Support recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; conduct annual performance evaluations.
Financial and Business Management
- Ensure projects are completed within established budget; track manpower and cost performance.
- Support estimating teams through client walkthroughs and site surveys.
- Identify scheduling and manpower inefficiencies; escalate to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven ability to plan and supervise commercial electrical projects from kickoff through closeout.
- Strong command of scheduling, lookahead planning, material and tool logistics, and staffing reports.
- Expert knowledge of NEC and OSHA requirements and the inspection process.
- Experience supervising in-house crews, temporary labor, and trade contractors.
- Strong written communication for daily logs, RFIs, and project documentation.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade or construction management education preferred.
- 10+ years of commercial electrical experience, including Foreman or field supervision experience.
- Master Electrician license preferred.
- Data center or mission critical project experience strongly preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role works primarily on active construction and data center job sites, with regular office time for planning, scheduling, and documentation. Duties require standing, walking, climbing ladders, and moving through active job sites, as well as extended periods at a computer. The role requires lifting up to 30 pounds, use of personal protective equipment on-site, and regular travel between project sites.
Compu Dynamics Pay Range
$50—$65 USD

Paid Time Off (PTO) – accrue up to 160 hours (4 weeks) annually, beginning after 60 days of employment.
Paid Holidays – 7 company-observed holidays plus a floating holiday.
Birthday Time Off – 8 hours of paid time off during your birthday month.
Paid Parental Leave – 8 weeks maternity leave and 2 weeks paternity leave, concurrent with FMLA.
Volunteer Time Off (VTO) – 40 hours annually for community service.
- Boot Reimbursement – up to $150 annually, available from your first day.
Tool Reimbursement – $250 annually, available after 60 days.
Tuition Reimbursement – up to $5,000 annually for approved educational programs.
