This opportunity offers several contract positions for dedicated Special Education Teachers across multiple school sites for the 2026-2027 academic year, including both full-time and part-time options. Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education certification with Special Education endorsement required
• Experience delivering services to students with significant autism and those who use AAC devices preferred
• Proven abilities with students exhibiting emotional dysregulation and complex behavioral challenges
• Strong understanding of Structured Learning Services (SLS) or comparable structured classroom models
• Skilled in data-driven instructional approaches and behavior management systems
• Adaptability and confidence working in self-contained classroom settings with para support and collaborating teachers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary Special Education Teacher or Learning Specialist in classrooms (caseloads often 8-15 students, K-5th grade)
• Develop and implement IEPs while customizing instructional plans, interventions, and supports based on student needs
• Equip students with life skills for daily success both academically and socially
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and positive behavioral supports for environments with students with significant autism or emotional/behavioral disabilities
• Foster strong communication and collaboration with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education staff
• Collect and analyze data to inform instructional practices
• Engage in ongoing professional dialogue and meetings as required
