Position JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the maintenance foreman, the maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to safely install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain aircraft support, production, and facility equipment according to predictive and productive maintenance processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. - Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain aerospace ground equipment, production machines, jigs, tools and the plant facility's equipment such as overhead cranes in an aeronautical environment,
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production support equipment,
- Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production support equipment during ongoing operations and use of such equipment,
- Perform technical skills including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrument troubleshooting and repair,
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings and work orders to perform required maintenance and service,
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments,
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, multi-meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties,
- Detect and document faulty operations, defective materials, and report such defects and any unusual situations to proper supervision using the "Intervention Sheet" form,
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Requirements Qualifications
- 1 High school diploma /GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and industrial skills with some PLC experience, overhead cranes and HVAC.
- Experience communicating effectively with clients and coworkers in challenging or adverse environments.
