Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred in acute care facility License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required - S.T.A.B.L.E Certification required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with a team to provide patient care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
