Lead Warehouse Specialist – Night Organization Overview The Warehouse Specialist will join the WH operations team and support system level detailed design, creation of standard operating processes, material handling and automated storage equipment commissioning (ASRS/AGV) and qualification activities, commercial product validation and ultimately be responsible for the physical handling of material through the receiving processes, storage, campus wide material movement, and product shipment. In addition to providing operational support, the Warehouse Specialist will also provide technical and operational leadership in operations. Responsibilities Support site start-up and provide subject matter expertise in warehouse operations. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE corporate and site goals. Provide coaching and direction for employees in areas of responsibility. Assign daily and weekly work schedules to departmental employees. Unload and load material at docks, receive material, interface with the automated material storage and retrieval system, prepare materials for shipment, transact within the electronic warehouse management system, and support cycle counting efforts. Follow all safety requirements and procedures and routinely inspect area for health and safety issues. Assist with implementation of counter measures from safety incident investigations. Work with leader and safety representatives to implement safety projects. Follow all GMP and other regulatory requirements. Participate in quality initiatives and audits. Provide leadership for compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA regulations. Identify and implement performance improvements. Drive accountability for results. Actively support training efforts in the area. Create, follow, and execute policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities. Understand and use the transportation management system. Basic Requirements High School Diploma. Ability to pick up and move 50-pound containers. Minimum 3+ years of previous warehouse/logistics experience in a GMP environment. Completion of post‑offer exam or completion of work simulation if applicable. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus. DOT / IATA certification a plus. Comfortable with interfacing with automated systems. Previous demonstration of leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Solid understanding of quality and corporate policies. Solid understanding of the importance of and basic requirements of regulatory agencies such as the FDA, OSHA, and EPA. Demonstrate solid judgement and initiative. Enthusiastic, positive attitude. Certified to operate all types of powered industrial trucks. Additional Information Flexible and willing to work overtime. Compensation and Benefits Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $25.96 - $38.08. Full‑time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
