Job Details:


• Variable start times for day shifts ranging between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM
• On-call responsibilities required with a 30-minute response time
• No call room available for on-call shifts
• 8-week call schedule subject to change based on staffing needs
• End of shift (EOS) call: 8-10 slots available
• Overnight call slots (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM): 1-2 slots for AM positions, 5-10 slots for PM positions
• Weekend call: 1-2 weekends per schedule depending on specialty
• Holiday weeks: option to work four 10-hour shifts or take the holiday unpaid
• Cross-trained to General Main OR specialty and Urology center; no floating to other hospitals or sites
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Strong background in Orthopedics required, including Fractures, Anterior Hips, Total Joints, Ortho Spine, and Hand/Podiatry
• Experience with Neuro/ENT procedures preferred, including Spine Surgeries (Laminectomies, ALIFs, Fusions, and Discectomies), Cranial Surgeries, and ENT procedures such as Neck Dissections, Sinus Surgery, and Tympanoplasty
• General surgery experience preferred, including Breasts/Plastics, Vascular, Laparoscopic, General Oncology, Genitourinary, and Gynecology
• Equipment experience required: Hanna Table
• Navigation system experience preferred: Medtronic (Cranial and Spine), Medtronic Stealth (ENT), Stryker and Synaptive Navigation (Cranial)
• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
• Required certification: BLS
• Scrubs provided; scrub caps allowed but must be covered by a surgical bouffant
• Free parking available with shuttle service to and from parking structure


Facility:


This facility is a large 636-bed hospital designated as a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU, holding Magnet Designation and serving as a Primary Stroke Center. The operating room department features 21 OR suites and offers a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neurosurgery, ENT, general surgery, and robotic procedures. The department is supported by Charge RNs, Leads, Supervisors, Managers, Surgeons, and an Anesthesia Team, ensuring a well-structured and collaborative work environment.
