Physics Teacher

The Schuylkill Valley School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Physics Teacher at the high school effective approximately March 16, 2026. This position is responsible for implementing the district's Physics instructional program with students and providing the students with appropriate instruction and a learning environment that will enable each student in the district to master the basic Physics skills outlined in the curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong content knowledge, effective instructional practices, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. Appropriate PA teaching certificate, demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others, and acceptable record of attendance required. Certification in multiple areas of science, master's degree in field, and experience teaching Physical Science, General Physics, and AP Physics 1 & AP Physics 2 are preferred.
