**City/State**Norfolk, VA**Work Shift**First (Days)**Overview:****Sentara is hiring a Radiation Therapist at Sentara Brock Cancer Center, in Norfolk Virginia.*****Sign on Bonus up to $15,000 offered for qualified candidates!******Shift:*** Treatment hours can vary anywhere from 6am -730pm. No call. **Overview**Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. Duties may include but are not limited to:• Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT) • Deliver brachytherapy treatment • Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, andprotection devices • Reviewing patient records for accuracy • Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel • Maintaining patient records, reports, and filesAll new graduates will remain Radiation Therapist I for the first 2 years of employment and are required to pass boards within 6 months of hire.**Education*** Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology **REQUIRED.** \* *Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will also be considered.***Certification/Licensure*** Required to pass boards within 6-months of hire* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire**Experience:*** **Prior experience strongly preferred*** **Varian and Aria equipment, and Elekta HDR unit experience strongly preferred**Keywords: Talroo-Allied Heath.
