Information Security Specialist

To support the organization's information security and privacy program, the full-time remote Information Security Specialist will manage the implementation of security measures, conduct risk assessments, and evaluate compliance with security policies. Key Responsibilities: Support and administer the implementation of security measures for information systems to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches Perform privacy and security risk assessments and ongoing monitoring activities in coordination with compliance and audit functions Evaluate new products and information systems for compliance with security policies and assist with external audits Required Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in a computer science related field or equivalent work experience Recognized security-related certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP, CCSP) is preferred Familiarity with application security, database technologies, and information systems auditing Experience with information and network security practices, software, and hardware Understanding of business/technology controls for managing confidential data
