Growing together.As a Lead Technical Product Manager within Optum Technology, you will drive product strategy, backlog management, and technical feature execution supporting UHC HEDIS Retrospective and Prospective projects. This program is a strategic quality platform that transforms clinical and administrative data into actionable insights, enabling healthcare organizations to proactively improve member outcomes, close care gaps, and deliver accurate, compliant quality reporting that supports accreditation, regulatory requirements, and STAR performance. In this full-time telecommuter role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering, architecture, and business teams to deliver scalable quality technology solutions and optimize platform capabilities.Primary Responsibilities:Experience with HEDIS specifications and NCQA requirementsOwn and execute technical product features, user stories, and multi-quarter release roadmaps for UHC HEDIS Retrospective and Prospective quality platform solutionsLead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily agile ceremonies alongside engineering and system architecture teamsUse enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement across product management practicesPartner with clinical data analysts, software engineers, and healthcare operations stakeholders to translate complex clinical data requirements into clear technical specificationsEstablish and monitor product performance metrics (KPIs) to track platform adoption, feature reliability, and data processing efficiency for STAR quality reportingManage product risks, resolve operational bottlenecks, and evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovationFacilitate cross-functional communication and change management across UnitedHealthcare and Optum Technology teams to ensure seamless platform deploymentsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent product or business operations experience6+ years of experience in technical product management, technical program management, systems analysis or technical business operations4+ years of experience defining technical product roadmaps, writing user stories, and prioritizing backlogs in an Agile/Scrum environment3+ years of experience leveraging data analytics and performance metrics (KPIs/OKRs) to drive product strategy and feature deliveryExperience with HEDIS specifications and NCQA requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Certified Product Owner (CPO), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification2+ years of experience with HEDIS measures, STAR ratings, or healthcare quality reporting platformsExperience utilizing enterprise-approved AI or digital productivity tools to optimize backlog grooming, requirements writing, or workflow automationExperience working with clinical data sets, electronic health records (EHR), or healthcare claims dataDemonstrated experience presenting product features and technical roadmaps to cross-functional stakeholdersPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
