Senior Estimator

A growing commercial construction specialty contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to provide leadership and expertise across the estimating function. This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, confident under pressure, and comfortable managing complex bids, reviewing estimates, supporting negotiations, and serving as a key resource for internal teams. The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in ensuring pricing accuracy, proposal quality, and consistency across the estimating process. This person will also help manage bid priorities, troubleshoot scope or pricing issues, and support the team in meeting tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities Review and approve estimates, budgets, change order requests, and proposal packages to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards. Manage a high volume of bid opportunities while maintaining attention to detail and strong follow-through. Support complex negotiations by preparing clear, complete, and well-documented proposals. Identify and resolve scope gaps, pricing discrepancies, bid errors, and other estimating challenges in partnership with general contractors and internal teams. Take ownership of urgent estimating needs, including quick-turn budgets and time-sensitive bids. Maintain and adjust the bid calendar based on project urgency, resource availability, and shifting priorities. Provide strategic input on bid decisions, including evaluating which opportunities are worth pursuing. Review historical pricing and market trends to ensure estimates are competitive, accurate, and aligned with margin goals. Serve as a resource and mentor to estimating team members by answering questions, providing guidance, and helping improve overall department performance. Meet firm deadlines, including occasional extended hours when needed to support critical bid submissions. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience required. Experience estimating commercial glazing, curtainwall, storefront, thermal systems, specialty glass, or related exterior/interior building systems is strongly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam required. Experience with construction platforms such as Procore is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
