We are hiring for a Laboratory Assistant to work in a medical laboratory here in the Columbus area! Ideal candidates will have some kind of laboratory background, but we are flexible to entry-level candidates as well. These positions do not require Bachelors Degrees.

Job Description

As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of laboratory specimens for analysis. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory and client support within the laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle laboratory specimens and set them up for testing.
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues with specimen.
• Label specimens in the laboratory.
• Send test requests to the appropriate location and release test results.
• Assist with any specimen-related requests or inquiries.
• Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities.
• Provide support to various areas of the laboratory.
• Perform sample sorting, racking, and retrieving.
• Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred.

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
