Job SummaryWe are seeking a Low Voltage Data Technician for a short-term commercial construction project at 2024 Genesee St in Oneida, NY. Whether you are an experienced tech or looking to get your foot in the door in the commercial cabling industry, we encourage you to apply. No prior experience is required for the right motivated candidate.Note on Safety Certifications: If you do not currently hold your OSHA 10 and Scissor Lift certifications, you must be willing to complete them on your own time prior to your first day on the job site. We will fully reimburse 100% of the course fees on your first paycheck.Key ResponsibilitiesStructured Cabling: Learn to pull, route, support, and neatly dress Cat5e data cables through conduit, cable trays, and open ceilings in a commercial construction setting.Termination & Testing: Terminate cables onto jacks, patch panels, and blocks. Use standard testing equipment to ensure network integrity.Aerial Work: Safely operate a scissor lift/aerial lift to perform overhead cable installation and support infrastructure mounting.Site Safety: Comply with all job-site safety rules and maintain a clean workspace.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: No experience required. (Prior experience in low-voltage, electrical, construction, or using hand tools is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person).Certifications: Valid OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Scissor Lift / Aerial Work Platform Operator Certifications are highly preferred. (If you do not have these, save your receiptsthe full cost of both courses will be reimbursed directly to you on your first paycheck).Tools & Equipment (Provided): You do not need to bring your own gear. All necessary hand tools, testing equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)including hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility vestswill be fully supplied by the company.Physical Demands: This is a physical job. You must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights on a scissor lift, and stand or kneel for extended periods.Reliability: Must have dependable transportation to the job site in Oneida, NY, and a track record of excellent attendance.
