We are seeking a friendly and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our beautiful Orthodontic practice in Springfield, PA .
We use Damon Braces (self-ligating braces with a sliding mechanism) in our practice and strongly prefer candidates with prior experience working with Damon Braces.
Practice Location : Anthony L. Cook DMD - 135 S State Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 (Springfield Shopping Center)
Schedule :
- Mon, Wed & Thu 8am-6pm
- Tuesday 10am-7:30pm
- Open to part-time options as well for the right fit .
Compensation and Benefits:
- $21–$25/hour
- Health insurance (partially paid by employer), 401k, paid holidays, 3 sick days, vacation time (1- 4 weeks depending on the employment duration)
Prior experience as an Orthodontic Assistant is required for the position.
As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will be responsible to:
- Assist the Orthodontist chairside.
- Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Changing wires and brackets.
- Taking and pouring impressions.
- Adjusting retainer fit.
- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Prepare patients for exams and treatment and provide patient education.
- Perform various office tasks as necessary.
- Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards
