Instructional Coach

Job Title: LIFT Instructional Coach Exemption Status/Test: Exempt/Professional Reports to: Executive Director of Curriculum Date Revised: 4-28-2026 Dept./School: Campus Assigned Days: 209 Pay Scale: Admin 3 (Master's) Teacher Scale(Bachelor's) This position is 100% grant-funded through 8/31/2027. Because this is a grant-funded position, your continued employment is expressly conditioned on the availability of funding for the position. If funding becomes unavailable due to loss of state/federal funding or due to financial constraints of Jasper ISD, your position is subject to immediate change. Individuals will be required to keep accurate time and effort documentation that must solely align to the intent of the LIFT grant. Primary Purpose: Provides coaching and support to classroom teachers to ensure the continuous development of instructional skills among assigned teachers. The coach will assist in the development, alignment, articulation, and evaluation of the assigned curriculum. The coach will also assist in aligning instructional strategies, resources/ materials, assessments, and staff development. The LIFT Instructional Coach will support the transition of 3rd - 5th grade and the implementation of the K-5th grade of the LIFT framework to strengthen instructional systems and campus leadership. This role focuses on building teacher capacity, aligning instructional systems, and ensuring implementation fidelity of district initiatives. A LIFT Instructional Coach helps move campus from isolated instructional practices to aligned, outcome-driven systems focused on measurable student growth. Qualifications: Education/Certification: Master's degree from an accredited university preferred Valid Texas teaching certificate Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners Ability to coach adults through change Systems thinking and problem-solving Clear communication with campus and district stakeholders Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience: 5 years of teaching experience Major Responsibilities and Duties: Staff Development 1. Work collaboratively with assigned classroom teachers to establish realistic and measureable objectives related to both the teacher's individual professional development and student learning. 2. Support the continuous professional growth and improvement of teacher instructional skills through coaching and collaborative problem solving. 3. Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and coaching to classroom teachers to facilitate improvement and innovation. Demonstrate teaching strategies with students in classroom. 4. Evaluate teacher effectiveness in accordance with established district programs. 5. Plan and provide appropriate staff development for teachers, administrators, and staff. Instructional and Program Management 6. Work with teachers to analyze and interpret student data and use findings to develop and apply instructional strategies. 7. Develop curricular or behavioral support materials as needed. 8. Disseminate information regarding current research and significant developments on the state and national levels in area assigned. Other 9. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required. 10. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. 11. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
