Full-Time Dental Assistant – Olentangy Modern Dental

Olentangy Modern Dental is looking for a motivated, dependable, and positive Dental Assistant to join our team full-time. Previous dental assisting experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right new graduate who is eager to learn and grow.

We are a busy, patient-focused dental practice with an emphasis on providing exceptional clinical care and an outstanding patient experience. We are looking for someone who works well in a team environment, takes initiative, stays organized, and enjoys building relationships with patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist doctors during restorative and cosmetic dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and properly set up for procedures
• Take high-quality digital X-rays
• Assist with composite restorations, crowns, implants, and other general dental procedures
• Assist with CEREC crown procedures
• Take digital impressions and scans using iTero
• Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control protocols
• Review the daily schedule and prepare in advance for upcoming procedures
• Maintain stocked, clean, and organized operatories
• Provide patients with pre-operative and post-operative instructions
• Accurately document clinical information and treatment in patient charts
• Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, front-office team members, and patients
• Help maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the day
• Assist with additional clinical responsibilities as needed

We are looking for someone who is positive, dependable, coachable, organized, hardworking, and team-oriented . The ideal candidate takes initiative, pays attention to detail, communicates well, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to help the team and our patients.

A valid Ohio dental radiology certification is required . Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, with 1+ year of experience being a plus. Experience with Open Dental, digital X-rays, CEREC, and iTero is also a plus but not required.

Our Hours

Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

We're looking for someone available 4-5 days per week.
