Maintenance Technician

The Building MaintenanceTechnician will maintain the building's furniture, fixtures and equipment. This individual will perform basic maintenance/repairsto flooring, walls, plumbing and HVAC systems. In the event of an emergency, he/she may becalled to support necessary tasks in association with that emergency.

The generalresponsibilities of the position include those listed below, but CBRE GWS Localmay identify other responsibilities of the position as needed. Theseresponsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessitiesand client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performstasks, such as but not limited to, changing light bulbs, installing paperdispenser units, changing filters, changing locks on doors, minor decorativemaintenance, workstation assembly and repair plus other tasks not requiring alicensed skilled trades person or journeyman.

• Readily takesdirection from Facility Manager and Facility Coordinator.Willingly supports team members upon requests.

• Identifiesand corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight.

• Attendstraining programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.

• Complieswith all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.

• Reports allaccidents and injuries in a timely manner.

• Participatesin regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.

• Applies allapplicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.

• May berequired to assist with special events.

• May drive acart or other vehicle.

• Assistsskilled trade workers in one or more areas performing specific or standardduties to learn new skills as required for advancement and certification.

• May berequired to utilize basic cleaning and other chemicals.

• Examinesmechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.

• Adjustsfunctional parts of furniture, fixtures and equipment as necessary.

• May orderreplacement parts and equipment with management approval.

• Inspectscompleted repairs.

• May berequired to inventory equipment, parts and supplies.

License/Qualifications:

Certifications:

• An appropriatelicense/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state inwhich the work will be done is preferred.

• A validdriver's license is necessary for job specific tasks.

Physical Requirements:

• Closevision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability toadjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.

• Comfortablewith significant walking or other means of mobility.

• Ability towork in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).

• Ability toreach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds andoccasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

Experience/Knowledge:

• High Schooldiploma or GED

• 3 or moreyears of related experience.

The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $55,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $102,500 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
