Clinical - Residential Therapist (Licensed or Limited Licensed ) / New Hope/Full time/Flint

The Clinical - Residential Therapist is a key associate at Hope Network who provides direct clinical services at three residential behavioral health homes (all within 5 minutes of each other with a maximum of 8 clients in each home) and outpatient clinical (two days hybrid) settings. In this role, the therapist works collaboratively with individuals, families, and groups to assess, address, and treat persistent mental health disorders while promoting recovery, resilience, independence, and optimal functioning. 

The Clinical Therapist delivers evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each individual served. Services may include individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, psychosocial support, treatment planning, behavioral health assessments, and coordination of care with interdisciplinary team members. Within the residential setting, the therapist supports individuals in developing the skills necessary to successfully manage symptoms, improve daily functioning, and achieve personal recovery goals. In the outpatient setting, the therapist provides ongoing counseling and support to assist individuals and families in managing mental health challenges and maintaining stability within their communities.

The Clinical Therapist is trained in and utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to address a broad range of behavioral health concerns, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, addiction, psychosis, suicidal ideation, anger management, emotional dysregulation, stress management, self-esteem issues, challenges associated with aging, family and parenting concerns, marital difficulties, interpersonal relationship problems including adults dealing with childhood trauma / abuse.

  What You’ll Do,,,

• Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments to determine needs and required level and frequency of medically necessary psychological services, as diagnosed.
• Develop treatment plans, using person-centered processes by assisting persons-served in setting goals linked to addressing identified needs. Make certain consumer goals address situational stressors, family relations, interpersonal relationships, mental health issues, life span issues, psychiatric illnesses, addictions, domestic violence, or other trauma.  Conduct ongoing assessments of persons-served, and evaluate effectiveness of Treatment Plan goals and interventions, no less than every 90 days.
• Provide individual, family and/or group therapy using therapy interventions such as: active listening, consistent eye contact, unconditional positive regard, and empathic responses
• Facilitate, for persons-served, access to community resources and social support networks that provide support, friendship, love and hope.
• Perform transition planning and follow-up contact with persons served.  Complete Transition/Discharge plans within 14 days of event.
• Identify emergency crisis and make immediate clinical assessments and respond according to accepted crisis intervention methods and techniques; coordinate other services, as needed
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

What You Bring,,,

Required:

• Minimum: LLMSW, LLPC - REQUIRED
• Experience in providing therapy in Residential Behavioral Programs.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License. - Required.

Preferred:

• Preferred: Fully Licensed Therapist, or Fully Licensed Master Social Worker who is able to provide all necessary therapy services without a clinical supervisor (LPC, LMSW)
