Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Role Overview The Inpatient RN CAP 2 provides clinically competent care to dialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. They coordinate tasks with care staff, participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Role Overview The Inpatient RN CAP 2 provides clinically competent care to dialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. They coordinate tasks with care staff, participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities Perform patient data collection and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Educate patients and families on care needs. Recognize and report patient status changes to the healthcare team. Administer treatments, medications, and manage emergency responses. Delegate tasks to staff, serve as a resource, and mentor new employees. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. Assist in specialized nursing care as needed and may support outpatient facilities. Qualifications & Skills Current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification. Minimum 2 years of nephrology nursing experience, with preferred dialysis experience. Ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for long periods, and assist with patient mobility. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Additional Details Supervisory oversight of care staff after meeting specific training and experience requirements.
