Role Overview

We are seeking a Security Engineer to join our engineering team. This role combines strategic thinking

with hands-on execution — helping Pioneer strengthen internal security practices, guiding customers

toward stronger security postures, and delivering professional security assessments as part of our

growing services portfolio.

The ideal candidate is both a planner and a doer: someone who can see the big picture, design effective

controls, and roll up their sleeves to make them real.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage internal security controls and processes to reduce risk within Pioneer.

• Design, deploy, and improve customer security configurations across Microsoft 365, Azure, and

hybrid environments.

• Contribute to professional security assessments, analyzing risks and presenting findings to

customer stakeholders.

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure security best practices are embedded in deployments

and migrations.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to customers and internal staff on incident response and

security hygiene.

• Help develop standardized, scalable security offerings that enhance Pioneer’s managed services

portfolio.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT or security engineering experience in an MSP or enterprise environment.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure security, including identity, access, and endpoint

protection.

• Practical experience with SIEM, endpoint protection, MFA, and email security.

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, or MITRE ATT&CK.

• Strong communication skills with both technical teams and business leaders.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

These Would Be a Plus

• Experience with AWS security tools or enterprise security appliances.

• Background in security assessments, compliance, or audit support.

• Security-focused certifications (e.g., Microsoft SC-200, CISSP, Security+, CISM).
