They work closely across functions to proactively manage shortages, optimize inventory, and drive continuous process improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.What you can look forward to as Supply Chain Specialist:Run customer-specific bill of material checksCompile weekly SMT tracker demand for shortage componentsCompile supplier commitment/shipment updates within trackerUnderstand plant usage and customer run-out dates and escalate shortages as neededAddress carrier delivery issues for inbound/outbound material.Compile Customer Tracker info as neededExpedite material shortages and provide purchasing supportEnsure balance of stock on-hand between plants during shortagesUnderstand material flow within plant – SAP locations and transactionsYour profile as Supply Chain Specialist: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & V-lookup).Minimum of four years of experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management.Bachelors degree in a related field, an Associates degree in a related field with a minimum of seven years’ experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management; or a high school diploma with ten years of experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management.Automotive industry experience.Experience using SAP.APICS certification is a plus.Exceptional data entry skills.Good verbal and written communication skills.ZF does not offer visa sponsorship for this role (e.g., H-1B, TN), and candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship by ZF now or in the future.
