Copper Ridge Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable, compassionate Driver to safely transport residents to medical appointments, community outings, and other approved destinations. The Driver plays an important role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring resident safety and complying with all PACS transportation policies and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from appointments and scheduled activities.

• Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle while following all safety procedures.

• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly vehicle.

• Accurately complete required transportation logs and documentation.

• Follow all traffic laws, facility policies, and defensive driving practices.

• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, schedulers, residents, and families.

• Represent Copper Ridge Health & Rehabilitation in a professional and courteous manner.

Driver Compliance Requirements

To be eligible to drive a facility vehicle, applicants must be able to meet PACS Auto Program requirements, including:

• Maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

• Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and remain eligible through ongoing driving record monitoring.

• Complete required English Proficiency Testing (EPT) as part of the onboarding process.

• Sign authorization forms required for ongoing driver eligibility monitoring.

• Participate in all required driver safety education and training.

• Successfully complete all required orientation before operating a facility vehicle.

• Comply with PACS Drug and Alcohol Testing policies when applicable to the position or vehicle operated.

• Operate only facility-authorized vehicles and follow all PACS transportation and fleet safety policies.

• Utilize vehicle safety technology, including Samsara telematics and in-cab safety systems, as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Valid driver's license.

• Clean driving record.

• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift, push, and assist residents as needed.

• Experience working with older adults or in healthcare is preferred but not required.
