Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care within a 12-OR suite at a Level 3 trauma center
• Perform across a broad range of surgical service lines including general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN
• Participate in on-call coverage, including up to 2 late call shifts per week (until 11:00 PM) and every 3rd to 4th weekend call
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Adhere to all radiation safety protocols; radiation badge must be supplied by the staffing agency prior to start

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting with well-rounded competency (general, neuro, ortho, ENT, GYN)
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license required (candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• BLS certification required
• Radiation badge required — must be provided by the staffing agency; the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Broad scope of specialty competency across multiple surgical service lines (first-time travelers with strong multi-specialty backgrounds may be considered)
• Prior experience charting in Epic
• Familiarity with Level 3 trauma center environments and protocols
