This position is charged with independently executing various professional and technical tasks that contribute to the communication strategy aimed at informing and engaging audiences about the activities and objectives of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

This position requires travel.
This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarter office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Hybrid positions may be eligible for telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. In accordance with CPUC Telework Policy, telework arrangements are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.

Please write your SOQ to address the following three questions:
- Describe your experience developing visual and multimedia content (e.g., infographics, short-form video, social media graphics) for public-facing communication. Include at least one example where you ensured content met accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508/ADA compliance, captioning, alt text, readable design). What platforms, tools, and workflows did you use from concept through publication?
- Explain how you evaluate the effectiveness of social media or digital visual content. Include specific metrics you have used (e.g., engagement, reach, click-through rate, watch time, conversions, sentiment). Describe a time you used data to refine or improve a campaign, content strategy, or visual approach following your evaluation of effectiveness.
- Describe your experience working in a structured approval environment (e.g., government, public agency, regulated industry, or large organization). How did you manage feedback from multiple stakeholders while maintaining content quality, accuracy, and deadlines? Include your role in coordinating across communications, subject matter experts, and leadership.
