This is a part-time position working two days per week for a total of approximately 16 hours.In this role, you will perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with NAVIX and client-site protocols with a high degree of independence.You will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies, operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, and produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining a strong focus on patient care and safety.This position also plays an important role in radiation safety and regulatory compliance. You will follow appropriate procedures for the receipt, handling, administration, and disposal of radioactive materials; maintain required documentation; perform equipment quality control; and follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.Success in this role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently while providing an exceptional patient experience.What You'll DoIn this role, you will:Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with NAVIX and client-site protocolsPrepare radiopharmaceuticals, calculate appropriate doses, and administer radioisotopes under physician directionPrepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and appropriately position patients for diagnostic studiesPerform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies using appropriate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic imagesOperate, calibrate, maintain, and clean nuclear medicine equipment in accordance with established protocols and manufacturer guidelinesPerform required camera quality control and dose calibrator measurementsMeasure radioactivity and monitor appropriate background radiation levelsReceive, handle, and return radioactive materials in accordance with applicable state and federal requirementsFollow radiation safety procedures for the use and disposal of radioactive materials and maintain required documentationApply ALARA principles to minimize personal radiation exposureMaintain appropriate supplies and materials for testingComplete required technical, billing, patient authorization, and other documentation accurately and timelyEnsure patient safety by following applicable company policies, procedures, and protocolsMaintain compliance with applicable regulatory, licensing, credentialing, health, and safety requirementsParticipate in required training and maintain ongoing clinical competencyWhat You'll BringRequired QualificationsActive nuclear medicine certification through one of the following:ARRT(N) – Nuclear Medicine Technology certification through the American Registry of Radiologic TechnologistsCNMT – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)Current New Jersey Nuclear Medicine Technologist licenseCurrent BLS certificationGraduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology programKnowledge of EKG recognition and cardiac stress testingStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionComputer proficiency appropriate to the positionAbility to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare teamCommitment to maintaining patient safety, radiation safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliancePreferred QualificationsOne to two years of nuclear medicine experiencePosition DetailsLocation: Neptune, NJSchedule: Two Days per week | Daytime hoursJob Type: Part-Time or Per DiemReady to Join the NAVIX Team?If you're looking for a part-time opportunity where you can utilize your nuclear medicine expertise while helping improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes, we encourage you to apply.Join a team that is committed to quality, innovation, and making a meaningful impact every day.We look forward to hearing from you.NAVIX Diagnostix, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
