Job Summary

Perform a variety of duties in and around the building of the hospital complex to assist the tradesmen in completing their tasks.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assists with repairing and replacing drains, fixtures, rodding, cleaning, etc. as assigned.
• Administers to general repairs i.e. plunging toilets and drains, greases fan motors.
• Works independently.
• Completes preventative maintenance task on time.
• Communicates issues to his/her supervisor.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required. Vocational or Technical training preferred. MA Driver's License 0-1 years related work experience required. Previous experience preferred Good driving record Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use them in routine situations. Specialized knowledge not required. Team Work: Ability to interact respectfully with other employees, professional staff and/or external contacts to offer ideas, identify issues, obtain information or deliver services. Customer Service: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Age based Competencies: Employees in this job must be competent to provide patient care to the following age groups: Neonatal: Birth to 6 months, Youth: 6 months to 16 years, Young adult: 16-30 years, Middle Age: 30 - 60 years, Elderly: 60 -. Physical Nature of the Job: Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force frequently. Work is physically demanding and requires extended periods of standing and/or moving.

Pay Range: $26.00 - $36.00

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
