- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Craft tailored treatment plans that address both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to establish integrated care approaches.
- Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress throughout the therapy process.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Maintain thorough and precise documentation that adheres to organizational, state, and federal regulations.
- Commit to continuous learning and professional growth through ongoing education and team collaboration.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days from the start date.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies spanning all age groups, with a solid foundation in both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills fostering good communication with patients, families, and collaborative care teams.
- Capacity to adapt therapeutic techniques to cater to various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
