Job Overview STGi is seeking qualified candidates for a Social Work position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP). Hiring will occur only if STGi is selected as the successful awardee. Category Residential Health Job Location Salisbury, North Carolina Position Type Full‑time / Regular Essential Functions Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the social service programs of the facility. Interview residents or family members as necessary to obtain social history. Provide information to residents/families regarding Medicare/Medicaid and other financial assistance programs available to the resident. Refer resident/family members to appropriate social service agencies when the facility does not provide the services or needs of the resident. Coordinate social services activities with other departments as necessary. Attend QAPI meetings and help develop and implement plans of action to address identified deficiencies. Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations as well as professional standards and make recommendations on changes in facility policies and procedures to the Administrator. Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age‑related needs of the residents served. Be a supportive team member, contributing to and exemplifying teamwork and team concept. Treat personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public with tactfulness. Possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel. Seek new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing social services. Be a member in good standing with state or national licensing and accrediting bodies. Relate information concerning a resident’s condition. Not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace. Required Experience and Skills Minimum of two (2) years of social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals. One to two (1‑2) years of supervisory experience is preferred. Required Education Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field including, but not limited to, sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, etc. Master of Social Work (MSW) or a related field is preferred. Clinician must be licensed in North Carolina in the appropriate field (e.g., Social Work Director, Psychology Director, Nursing Director). Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility and its premises. Subject to frequent interruptions. Involved with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors under all conditions and circumstances. Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays when necessary; on call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
