QA/QC I&E Inspector - Oil & Gas

Job Description Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a QA/QC I&E Inspector to support electrical and instrumentation quality activities across fabrication shops and field construction sites. This role requires strong fundamentals in QA/QC, the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, and the discipline to execute inspections in alignment with Chevron standards . ⸻ Key Responsibilities • Perform QA/QC inspections for Electrical & Instrumentation (I&E) scope in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and CWPs. • Review and interpret engineering drawings , including one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts. • Support and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities, including travel to vendor facilities as required. • Execute inspections in compliance with customer (Chevron) standards , procedures, and expectations. • Generate clear, accurate inspection reports , punch lists, and documentation. • Maintain strong communication with QA/QC leads, engineering, construction, and vendors. ⸻ Required Qualifications • Basic understanding of QA/QC principles for Electrical & Instrumentation work. • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and inspection requirements. • Fast learner with the ability to quickly understand and apply Chevron standards and client-specific requirements. • Willing and able to travel to support FATs and field inspections. • Ability to obtain and maintain H2S and SafeLand training to perform inspections at job sites. • Reliable transportation (truck) suitable for field work. • Basic computer skills , including the ability to complete inspection reports and documentation (PDFs, spreadsheets, reporting tools). ⸻ Key Traits • Detail-oriented and safety-focused • Reliable and accountable • Professional communication • Willing to learn and grow within QA/QC I&E Company Description This position is being recruited by MDLI Services, Inc., founded in Colorado in 1999 that has grown to a nationwide company.
