Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, part of Mission Health, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Healthcare & Medical Services team. Located on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, the hospital is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to the surrounding community, including emergency services, diagnostics, and rehabilitative therapies. Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments, monitor and interpret patient conditions, and respond to changes in status. Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality care and effective handoffs. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions, promoting health literacy and self‑management. Precept new staff, participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, and adhere to evidence-based policies and regulatory standards. Qualifications Strong clinical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a calm, professional presence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, respect for diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to upholding the hospital’s mission of enhancing community health through exceptional, collaborative care.
