Acting Assistant Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor | Psychologist, Center for Behavioral Health & Learning Position Description The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington invites applications for up to three faculty positions at the rank of Acting Assistant Professor , Clinical Assistant Professor , Clinical Associate Professor , or Clinical Professor . The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full‑time basis (0.5‑1.0 FTE) for a twelve‑month appointment beginning Fall 2026. This position may be primarily clinical in responsibility; however, psychology faculty may also have a portion of their time spent in teaching and/or research‑related activities. Organization: Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Title: Acting Assistant Professor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor | Psychologist, Center for Behavioral Health & Learning Compensation Acting or Clinical Assistant Professor: $110,004 – $130,008 annually. Clinical Associate Professor: $125,004 – $170,004 annually. Clinical Professor: $165,000 – $240,000 annually. Responsibilities Provide individual and group therapy to adult inpatients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on treatment planning. Develop behavioral plans for patient behavioral modification. Deliver crisis psychotherapy. Administer psychological testing for diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. Assess risk of harm to self and others. Contribute to quality improvement projects. Educate staff and trainees on psychological interventions. Preferred Qualifications Experience with evidence‑based psychological interventions for people with severe mental illness. Experience working on interdisciplinary health care teams. Experience with inpatient psychology. Experience working with underserved populations (e.g., unhoused, ethnic minority, sexual minority). Experience working with older adult populations, including individuals with age‑related health concerns. Qualifications Eligibility for Washington State Medical License.
