MRI Technologist - 12 x 3 Rotating Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist who independently performs imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will competently carry out a variety of technical procedures, demonstrating independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities

• Practice and maintain MR safety in the department.
• Maintain clinical competency for all exams and equipment.
• Perform procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving imaging data.
• Assess patient history and physician orders to apply specific departmental protocols for optimal results.
• Document patient history in the electronic record as required.
• Interact with patients and team members with a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect.
• Communicate instructions clearly to patients to help alleviate their fears and encourage cooperation.
• Ensure accurate coding and tracking of exams, updating and documenting patient information appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry.
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
• 2 years of experience is required.
• ARRT Certificate or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compliance with PA Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73.

Schedule

This position operates on a rotating shift of 12 hours, 3 days a week.
