Lecturer, LIS/Data Science/Creative Computing The University of Arizona's College of Information Science invites you to apply to the role of Lecturer. The college focuses on the intersection of people, data, and technology, offering innovative programs in information science, data science, cybersecurity, game design, and immersive technologies. Established in 2023 and expanded in 2025, the college provides STEM‑designated undergraduate and master’s degrees and a PhD in Information. It is nationally ranked for its online cybersecurity bachelor’s and data science master’s programs and for its library and information science offerings, emphasizing computational thinking, ethical reasoning, and multicultural communication. The Lecturer for LIS/Data Science/Creative Computing will provide instruction in advanced cyber operations and AI‑focused cybersecurity. FTE will be based on course availability and may be classroom‑based, virtual, or a combination, depending on need and instructor preference. This career‑track appointment is not eligible for tenure. Duties & Responsibilities Instruct students in the field of expertise. Plan course delivery, align content with other courses as needed, and provide feedback on student work. Advise students, hold office hours, and provide student support. Assist with Capstone projects or individual student projects as needed, engaging in project‑based pedagogy when possible. Minimum Qualifications Terminal degree in Information Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Library Science, media Ecology, Game Media, Gaming Behavior, Game Design and Production, Game Development, or another related field. Preferred Qualifications Content expertise that aligns with enrollment needs.
