Provides coaching and guidance to the sales team in areas such as creative selling, problem-solving, technical support, and risk avoidance. Ensures superior customer service products and solutions, delivers consistent profitability for the assigned region, and perpetuates/develops the Evolution Motion Solutions culture. Fosters an environment of accountability with the sales team and throughout the overall business. Responsible for managing selected large accounts. This position reports to the Vice President, Industrial Sales of Factory Automation.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform primary duties.Monitor and direct the daily activities of assigned outside salespeople; develop strategy for each salesperson’s customer and product mix to align with region and company’s goalsDevelop, coach, mentor, and train sales staff as it relates to the sales process; establish annual business goals to review quarterly; conduct regular performance reviews.Support sales process by regularly accompanying salespeople to customer visits; assist with development and delivery of presentations to customers; review all presentations to ensure consistency. EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administrationEXPERIENCE:At least three (3) years of sales, sales management, or customer service management in Industrial distribution/ Industrial Controls/Motion Control.Proven sales success; must have consistently met or exceeded sales goals year over year during career.SKILLS & ABILITIES:Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, and influence, to achieve desired results.Technological capability to manage email, create moderately complex spreadsheets, and prepare high-quality sales presentations using Microsoft Office productsDetail-oriented with the ability to prioritize effectively.Professional demeanor; high ethical standards.Discipline in following sales and business processes.Highly organized; self-motivated; can deliver results with minimal supervision.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting items such as a laptop computer, small products or parts, product books or catalogs. Position requires long periods of sitting while driving or riding as a passenger in an automobile. Must be able to move through customer sites, including warehouses, shipyards, oil field rigs, manufacturing facilities, and related machinery, etc. Ability to effectively communicate using company-issued devices such as laptop, mobile phone, etc.WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments, including temperature variances, humidity, dust, noise, etc. Overnight travel may be required; frequency depends upon assigned sales territory. Attending regular meetings, training and making sales calls via automobile or airplane is required.
