Dental Assistant IIWe are growing! Prior local and state government years of service count toward calculating vacation accrual rate!Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per weekThe dental assistant II provides care and services to patients by assisting dentists, hygienists and other staff in a variety of patient care, laboratory duties and administrative support. The DA II accurately prepares patients and patient information, including taking and processing x-rays. The DA II may provide services in a fixed clinic, mobile dental facility or in a community-based setting.Primary Responsibilities:Chairside assisting in a fixed or community-based sitePatient educationIndependent work including expanded function duties, coronal polishing, sealants, and pre-procedural consentAccurate and efficient patient record keepingDisinfect and sterilize instruments, surfaces, and equipment in compliance with CDC, OSHA, and agency guidelinesEducation/Experience: Any combination of education and experience that meets dental assistant II criteria according to NC State Board of Dental Examiners.
