General Utility Superintendent - Construction

Overview Cash Construction is hiring a General Utility Superintendent to work at our main location in Pflugerville, TX. Responsible for all site activities related to construction projects on multiple jobsites to complete the project on schedule, within budget, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. Oversee all trade and field personnel required to successfully complete the project. Duties may vary according to client and project size with varying degrees of responsibility and authority. This position offers a bonus plan, relocation assistance, vehicle allowance + fuel card + toll tag. Location & Travel Details: This is an onsite position based in the Austin, TX / Pflugerville, TX area. Hybrid work is possible on a case-by-case basis after an initial evaluation period. Responsibilities Promote and comply with all Company and Safety policies and procedures. (Safety is a primary driver for success.) Perform duties required of a Superintendent Level I, II, and III. Supervise overall direction, coordination, performance and evaluation of sub-contractors and field staff. Coordinate and supervise construction activities. Monitor crew sizes. Ensure crews have resources needed for tasks. Equipment logistics and QA on projects. Resource schedule management: crew and equipment. Ensure project schedules are met. Hire field personnel as needed; review applications, conduct interviews, and finalize hires. Mentor and train Level I and II Superintendents as needed. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Maintain construction schedules, identify and solve problems; use schedules to measure time and production. Keep records in a systematic, well-organized fashion. Seek ways to improve productivity as advised by the Project Manager. Communicate effectively in oral and written form to large employee groups, owners, or engineers. Maintain a professional appearance and positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees. Interview, hire and train direct reports; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Travel to different jobsites on short notice as needed. Grow area of operations. Qualifications Ten years of experience in a supervisory role. Knowledge of installing all types of pipes (PVC, DIP, FRP, HDPE, Fusible PVC). Experience in deep excavations and shoring (30+ feet deep). Waste/wastewater treatment plant work experience (lift/pump stations, yard piping, etc.). Ability to attract top talent. Bilingual is a plus.
