The Underwriting Assistant for Professional Lines focuses on processing policies, managing end to end processes, maintaining accurate data, and assisting underwriters to ensure efficient workflows and high service levels. The position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while supporting process improvements.Location: Los Angeles, California; Atlanta, Georgia; Madison, Wisconsin; Chicago, Illinois; New York City, New YorkWork Arrangement: This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week.The salary range for this role is: $64,000.00 - $120,000.00Your New RoleProvide support to underwriting operations across Cyber, Media, Law Firms, and Miscellaneous Professional Liability (MPL) linesAssist underwriters with the full policy lifecycle, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellationsReview submissions for completeness and follow up with brokers for missing or additional informationAccurately enter and maintain data within underwriting and policy administration systemsSupport quote preparation, rating, and pricing as directed by underwritersIssue binders, policies, and endorsements in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain well-organized and compliant electronic files and documentationTrack workflows and ensure deadlines are met across multiple prioritiesAssist with reporting, tracking, and operational tasks to support team performanceCollaborate with underwriting, operations, and other internal teams to improve processes and efficienciesSupport newer or complex policy forms, including the use of supplemental tools such as Excel when neededRequired QualificationsTertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Preferred ExperienceExperience in underwriting operations.Experience in the insurance industry.Experience in Media and Cyber liability preferredCompensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
