Overview Pride Health is hiring for a MLS to support our healthcare client in Pittsfield ME 04967. This is a 3-month contract opportunity with the possibility of extensions. Role details Title: MLS Location: Pittsfield ME 04967 Schedule: 06:30pm - 07:00am EST Pay Range: $40-$55 per hour Responsibilities The role involves performing and reporting clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures, regulatory standards, and quality guidelines. Responsibilities include specimen handling, test analysis, result review and release, quality control, equipment maintenance, and documentation. The technologist ensures compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety protocols, identifies and resolves testing issues, reports critical results, and maintains accurate laboratory records. The position also requires participation in training, inspections, and ongoing quality and safety initiatives. Qualifications Degree in Medical Technology, Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biology (or equivalent) Eligibility for or possession of national certification (ASCP/AMT preferred) Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience in high-complexity testing preferred Strong knowledge of QC/QA, laboratory procedures, and computer systems Additional Requirements Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and collaborate across departments Strong customer service and confidentiality practices Completion of required drug screening, immunizations, TB testing, respirator fit testing, and other credentialing Interested?
