Description Waldo Hospital is a 25 Bed Critical Access Hospital located in Belfast, Maine. Waldo Hospital is part of the Coastal Healthcare Alliance and the MaineHealth system. This position is classified as Professional - Clinical. Req #: 69290. Experienced Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) are eligible for a $15,000 sign‑on bonus. New graduates are eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus. Eligible bonus candidates are Certified Surgical Technologists. Current MaineHealth employees are not eligible for the bonus. Summary This is a full‑time 36‑hour per week, day shift position. Waldo Hospital operates three operating rooms, performing roughly 170 cases per month. Case types include general, OB/GYN, orthopedic, podiatry, ophthalmology, urology, pain management, and ENT surgery. ORs are staffed weekdays until 3:00 pm. The Surgical Technologist assists the surgeon and the Operating Room (OR) RN during surgical procedures. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required. License/Certifications: Current BCLS and certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required within 6 months of start date. Positions located in New Hampshire must have a New Hampshire Med Tech License or NH EMT License with National Registry Certification. Experience: One year of experience preferred.
