We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee hospital-based patient access and front-end revenue cycle activities for acute care operations. This position requires a hands-on supervisor who can guide daily workflows, support team performance, and help maintain reliable patient access services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role calls for schedule flexibility to help cover a 24/7 operation while partnering with multiple facilities to keep services running smoothly. Strong judgment, clear communication, and a practical approach to resolving operational issues will be essential for success.
Responsibilities:
• Direct day-to-day patient access operations, ensuring registration, insurance validation, financial screening, and point-of-service collection activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Lead frontline staff by coordinating schedules, assigning coverage, and addressing staffing gaps to maintain uninterrupted support across hospital settings.
• Monitor team productivity and service outcomes, using performance trends to coach employees and strengthen operational consistency.
• Escalate complex account, workflow, and service issues when needed, helping resolve barriers that could affect patient flow or contractual expectations.
• Partner with facility stakeholders to support compliance with established procedures, payer requirements, and revenue cycle standards.
• Oversee financial clearance-related activities so patients are processed appropriately and accounts move forward with minimal delay.
• Support hiring and onboarding efforts for patient access team members, contributing to a stable and capable workforce.
• Collaborate across multiple care sites to align front-end processes and maintain dependable service delivery in a variable-shift environment.
• At least 3 years of experience in hospital-based patient access or acute care revenue cycle operations.
• Prior supervisory, lead, or team oversight experience in a healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of registration workflows, insurance verification, financial clearance, and collection practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and facilities.
• Ability to support a permanent schedule with variable shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Familiarity with compliance expectations, service level accountability, and performance monitoring within patient access functions.
• Detail-oriented presentation appropriate for a business casual or facility-based healthcare environment.
• No license or certification is required for this position.
