WELDER
Automation Personnel Services is looking for an experienced Welder for a company based in Memphis, TN. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending welding equipment to fabricate steel shipping crates and industrial racks for the lawn and garden, powersports, and warehousing industries.

Pay Rate
$22.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 3:30 pm. (possible overtime)

Welder Duties and Responsibilities

• Layout and Fabrication: Read and interpret job specifications, engineering drawings, and weld symbols to determine machine adjustments, part placement, and material requirements
• Welding Operations: Assemble, align, and clamp pre-cut steel components into holding fixtures using calipers, clamps, and jigs. Use MIG and other welding equipment to bond parts securely and accurately.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect completed welds for discontinuities and structural defects. Prepare and finish workpieces by grinding, cutting, and cleaning metal.
• Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all safety procedures by wearing required PPE (e.g., protective masks, gloves, safety shoes). Maintain a clean work area and ensure equipment remains in good working order.

Welder Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience: Usually requires 1 to 5+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods during shift.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Full-time, temporary
