Job Description
Travel RN - Labor & Delivery / Mother-Baby

Schedule

3x12-hour Days with a weekend requirement of 6 weekends per contract.

Assignment Details

Travel experience required; candidates must have 2 years of clinical experience. Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in Labor & Delivery / LDRP / Mother-Baby care.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN.
• Experience with Trauma Level I preferred.
• Charting system: Epic.
• Patient ratio experience: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, Mother/Baby 1:3.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for labor, delivery, and postpartum patients.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, including scrub and circulate duties.
• Perform external and internal fetal monitoring, NST/OCT, and manage hemorrhage recognition and treatment.
• Conduct newborn assessments and provide breastfeeding support.
• Administer medications, including magnesium sulfate and oxytocin/Pitocin, and manage IV starts and infusions.
• Educate patients on discharge processes, including car seat safety.

Compliance / Notes

State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submission. Must complete core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing. Orientation hours average 4-6 hours.
