Star Fire, part of the Altus Fire and Safety family of companies, located in Queens, NY is looking for a Senior Fire Alarm Systems Programmer to join our team! The Fire Alarm Systems Programmer is primarily responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of fire protection systems. Salary Range: $40.00 - $50.00/hr Responsibilities- Deliver reliable and top-notch customer support, offering clear instructions on system operation and functionality.
- Conduct thorough system testing and signal verification to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Maintain a well-organized inventory of equipment, tools, and necessary resources in the company vehicle.
- Make effective use of technical resources, information, and support to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
- Work with our in-house Project Manager to ensure tasks are progressed and completed within defined timelines, meeting or exceeding project expectations.
- Create detailed documentation of services performed, hours worked, and task-related activities. Create all close-out documents as required or requested with PM assistance.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Act as a point of reference for complex field situations, identifying and implementing effective resolutions.
- Collaborate with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years experience programming fire alarm systems, Siemens preferred.
- Certification in programing from any fire alarm manufacturer, Siemens preferred.
- S-98 Certificate of Fitness
- NICET certification
- Full understanding of local and national codes.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
