Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor patient response and adjust as needed. Apply the evaluate-and-treat process to develop and implement care plans for patients with complex, multi-system needs. Provide patient, family, and support-system education; coordinate activities and contribute to discharge planning. Participate in staff development, onboarding, and ongoing professional growth; support education of new staff and students. Maintain thorough documentation, follow established policies, and participate in quality improvement activities. Requirements Active respiratory therapy licensure required; licensure appropriate to the practicing location. Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligible, as applicable to the role. Experience in critical care settings with ventilator management and complex patient care. Education: graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program (associate or bachelor’s degree acceptable). Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a high-acuity hospital environment.
